Week One DD was Ben May. Ben is a first year wrestler and a 7th
grader.  He received this award for several reasons. He works very
hard in practice and even stays after to get more work in. Ben was
responsible enough to inform his coach that he would miss a practice
due to illness rather than just not show up.  Ben's efforts in the
wrestling room have paid off in the form on 2 tournament wins and an
undefeated record. On top of his athletic achievements, Ben is also an
excellent student.
Week Two DD was awarded to Bret Romanzak who is a team leader
and great student, is an excellent example of the type of
student/athlete the Forest coaching staff is looking for.  He was one of
the few bright spots in the Linkhorne Middle School dual. He had a
tough opponent but came through for the team with a win.  So far this
year Bret has been undefeated while wearing the red and black of JF.
Bret was invited to and attended the practices over the Christmas
Break in the high school wrestling room.
Devyn Geyer is the week 3 recipient  of the DD Award.  Devyn is a 1st
year 7th grader with a strong work ethic. In his first wrestle-off he
defeated a more physically mature 8th grader who promptly quit. He
was also one of the few to come away with a win versus LMS. Not only
is Devyn undefeated thus far he is also an excellent student.
Gil "Tex" Wright is the week 4 DD award winner.  "Tex" is a first year
7th grader with excellent grades and responsible enough to keep his
coach informed if he has to miss any practices. As a first year wrestler
he has been paying his dues, but has learned valuable lessons from
his minor setbacks.  Tex has utilized his experience in practice and
matches to get the best result he could achieve. Tex won his 1st
tournament by sticking all 3 opponents.
Randy Lin is the week 5 DD award winner. Randy has solid grades
and takes advantage his opportunities to excel.  He was also invited to
and attended practices over the Christmas break in the wrestling room.
At the EC Glass Tournament Randy won his weight class by decking
all three opponents.
